Not Finished Article (NFA) is a collective of four established women artists based in Scotland: Nicky Bird, Alicia Bruce, Caroline Douglas and Sylwia Kowalczyk. As a collective they have distinct, yet complementary practices which together incorporate photography, moving image, the found photograph and the museum collection. Portraiture and community collaboration also play a distinctive role.
Between 2014-2015, NFA shared work in progress at public events such as TalkSeePhotography and contributed to 2014 Frames a series of projections at CCA: Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow International Festival and Street Level Photoworks, Glasgow.
In 2015, NFA created a collaborative photowork Exquisite…#MakeItHappen that celebrated older female relatives for International Women’s Day in a de-commisssioned public telephone box, now a unique High Street art installation and community venue.
